About Susan Frost's consulting services
From 1990 to 2003, Dr. Susan Frost led
efforts to advance Emory University as one of this nation's
premier research institutions. In her roles as vice provost for
institutional planning and research, and later as vice president
of strategic development, she sought to improve faculty collaboration,
enrich intellectual engagement, forge partnerships between top leaders
and other constituencies, and sharpen specific aspects of Emory's
mission.
During this time, Susan also studied the performance of other leading
universities and was frequently called on to serve as a higher education
consultant. Over the last decade, her practice has focused on strategy
development, planning and communication; collaboration and team
building, fund raising campaigns; institutional research including
analysis and evaluation; process design; and accreditation. Her
clients range from research universities, liberal arts and community
colleges, and specialized institutions to foundations, educational
consortia, and professional associations. She works with top leaders
and their teams, faculty, administrative units, and governing boards.
The author of three books, Susan is recognized as one of the nation's
leaders in academic advising theory
because of her seminal book Academic Advising
for Student Success. Since 1992 she has visited over
thirty colleges and universities to help leaders engage faculty
in academic advising and to find ways to integrate this vital educational
process into the institution's strategic agenda.
