and Institutional Research
Susan organized and led Emory's first
Office of Institutional Planning and Research. While she led the
data collection effort, Emory entered U.S.
News' Top 25 list in 1992 and moved up consistently.
"In the early 90s, the university was not reflecting its true strength,"
she has noted. "Our recalibration strategies really paid off." Now
Susan accepts a very limited number of clients each year for consultation
on ways to improve rankings and competitive position. Contact her

In 1995, Emory was invited to join the Association of American
Universities (AAU), comprised of North America's top research institutions.
Susan served as chair of the AAU Data Exchange and improved its
effectiveness during her term. Having represented Emory in the Higher
Education Data Sharing consortium (HEDS) and other data groups,
she knows how leaders can use data sharing to increase competitive
advantage and productivity.
Susan is especially experienced in designing and implementing quantitative
and qualitative studies, including constructing,
testing and administering questionnaires and web surveys, conducting
focus groups, and applying research findings to the current questions
and issues that institutions face.
Recognized as an expert in designing and leading
institutional research functions, Susan has consulted
at public and private top universities, helping leaders increase effectiveness
without increasing resources devoted to the effort. |
